How to configure Mozilla Firefox to always start a private browsing session

Most websites today use the browser to enhance your experience on a website. When the browser remembers a website you previously visited or the username and password for your favorite web site, this information is considered your history.  Firefox 3.5 and later has the "Private Browsing" option. Private browsing allows you to Surf the Internet without Firefox saving any data however private browsing does not make you anonymous on the Internet.

• Visited pages will not be added to the list of sites in the History menu, the Library window's History list, or the Awesome Bar address list.
• Form and Search Bar entries you enter into text boxes on web pages or the Search bar will not be saved for Form autocomplete.
• No new passwords will be saved.
• Files you download will not remain in the list in the Downloads window after you turn off Private Browsing.
• Cookies will​ not ​be stored.
• No temporary Internet files or cached files from web pages will be saved until you turn off Private Browsing.

1. Click Tools.
2. Click Options.
   
3. Click Privacy.
4. Next to "Firefox will" select Use custom settings for history.
5. Insert a check mark next to Automatically start Firefox in a private browsing session.
6. Click OK.
