How to disable the firewall in Windows Vista

In this tutorial we will show you how to disable or enable the Windows firewall in Vista.  We do not recommend disabling the firewall.  However in some cases you may need to disable the firewall to troubleshoot connection issues.

1. Click Start.
2. Click Control Panel.
   
3. Click Classic View.
4. Click Windows Firewall.
   
5. Click "Turn Windows Firewall on or off" or Change Settings.
   
6. Click On to enable the firewall. 
7. Click Off to disable the firewall.
8. Click Apply.
9. Click OK.
