How to start private browsing (incognito mode) in Google Chrome

Earlier we wrote a tutorial on how to start and stop private browsing for Mozilla Firefox, If your a Google Chrome user the good news is Chrome also offers the private browsing mode. In Google Chrome it's called incognito mode.

Webpages that you open and files downloaded while you are incognito aren't recorded in your browsing and download histories. All new cookies are deleted after you close all incognito windows that you've opened. Changes made to your Google Chrome bookmarks and general settings while in incognito mode are always saved.

  1. Click the Wrench Icon located on the top right.
  2. Click New incognito window.
  3. A new window will open with icon on the top right that looks like a spy.
